If you’re reading this blog post, you’re most likely thinking about a visit to Vita Vie Retreat for one of our wellness getaways. First of all, thank you for considering us! I know it’s a big decision and you want to make sure you end up at the right retreat for you. One of the biggest questions that we get when people call or email to inquire about our programs is: “Should I do the Vita Boot Camp or a Private Fitness Retreat?” They’re both fantastic programs (but you knew I’d say that because I’m writing this blog post). They’re very different though and truthfully, there’s a reason that they are different - to be able to serve people and their needs.Read More

Going on vacation always seems like the solution to many problems. We dream of taking a trip. Often times though, we tell ourselves that we just don’t have enough time to go on vacation. There is too much to do at home or at work. Yet, many of us are consistently stressed out, frustrated by long hours or life’s craziness. According to a survey, the average U.S. employee takes only half of their allotted vacation time. It’s not surprising that people are suffering from being overworked, overwhelmed and overrun.Read More
It’s been a beautiful October here in South Florida and we’re enjoying a little break in our warm weather. The temperatures have dropped a few degrees and the humidity is lower making it the perfect time of year to come join us for a fitness vacation. We’ve been working hard on some changes at the retreat including the launch of new programs and updates to existing retreats. We hope you love the new additions and changes as much as we do!
Vita Vie Retreat is now offering fitness classes on the beach in Delray Beach, Florida (Palm Beach County). In an effort to reach our local community, we’ll be offering a few classes at the south end of the beach by the Seagate Beach Club to local residents and visitors. Whether you live in the area or are staying with The Seagate Hotel & Spa, we’d love to have you out for a beachside workout!Read More
Almost every golfer I’ve ever spoken to talks about how hard the game is. Usually, they’re mentioning wanting to improve their score. This conversation is a common thread running from the professional golfer down to the amateur or beginner golfer.
It’s a tough sport. It’s mentally and physically taxing. The interesting thing is that so many people don’t consider the game of golf to be an athletic sport. It’s seen more as a leisure sport requiring technical skill (which it does) rather than a sport requiring a good amount of exertion. Tiger Woods was one of the first to really take the fitness side seriously and in turn, many other professional golfers started taking notice. In the last few years, with the rise of younger golfers like Dustin Johnson, Ricky Fowler and Jordan Speith, there has been a little more attention to fitness and the need for sport specific training.Read More
It occurred to me during last week’s Vita Boot Camp that it might be a good idea for me to recap some of the weeks. We have great discussions during each week and some of those discussions pack information that everyone would want to have – even if you’re not at a retreat. So while I won’t give away every single thing we talk about (you’ll have to attend a retreat to get ALL of the juicy info), I thought that recapping each week with the most important topics and inspiration would benefit many of you. So here goes writing my first retreat recap – hope you enjoy!Read More
