Weekly Reflection: Less Is More

For this week’s reflection, we want to talk about simplifying things. Does it ever feel like there is SO much to think about when it comes to a day’s worth of action steps? Let’s talk about focusing on the basics. It can feel really overwhelming when you start a new health & wellness program or even if you’re in the midst of one and having a tough time juggling all of the daily habits and tasks that need to be done. Think about it - every day you’re encouraged to drink water, get 10K steps in, meal plan/prep, log any food or exercise, meditate, keep up with the supplements, develop a sleep routine, and the list goes on.….all on top of your regular, daily responsibilities. It’s a lot, right? Let’s look at this journey in a more realistic light.

Dial Back To Focus In:

  • Set one goal/focus on one habit at a time -- what feels most important?

  • Break this goal down & make it S.M.A.R.T. -- specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, time-based

  • Aim for consistency & progress -- not perfection.

  • Apply what works best for you & is most enjoyable -- this supports momentum & sustainability.

  • Be patient with yourself--change happens over time, not overnight.

Reflection Questions to Consider:

How are you simplifying your journey and getting back to basics this week?

Which habit or habits are the most important for you to focus on?

Which habit or habits to you WANT to focus on this week?

What CAN you do vs what you think you SHOULD do?

What SMART goal will you choose to work on this week?
