5 Best Fitness Trackers of 2018

Here’s our list of the 5 best fitness trackers for 2018! They’ve come a long way in the past couple of years. I wrote a similar blog post about 12 years ago and revisited it recently. Wow how technology has changed! When I took a look back at it just a few days ago, I realized that it needed some serious updating. If you’ve read any of my blog posts about reaching health and fitness goals, you know how important I think it is to track your progress. Having a goal is a fantastic thing but having a specific goal is even better. And having a means to tracking that goal means you’re on your way to success. A goal without any kind of plan or a way to track how you’re doing is a recipe for failure. So if you’re reading this and you have a goal, here’s what I want you to do.

  1. Write your goal down.

  2. Figure out what steps you need to take to reach that goal (do you need to workout more, get stronger, run sprints 3 x per seek).

  3. Jot down how you’ll track it and how often (every 2 weeks, once per month, etc).

  4. Start with your beginning numbers and go from there. Jot down things like body measurements, how fast you can run a mile, how high you can jump. Obviously this all depends on your goal but start with the information that’s relevant to your goal and how you’ll achieve it.

  5. Have fun!

No matter what gadget you use to track your progress, it’s always important to understand how to use the information as well. Set some goals for yourself and track a few metrics at a time. It’s also helpful to journal your progress and jot down how you feel (energy, mood, strength, etc) as well as the weight loss or performance metrics that you choose.
