Summer Wellness Inspiration: Create a Summer That Feels Good From the Inside Out
/Summer has a different energy. It just does. There’s more freedom, excitement, curiosity, renewal. There’s definitely a different energy at our wellness retreats as well as a different energy for every one of us at home.
The days are longer. The sun stays out later. There are more opportunities to get outside, spend time with people you love, travel, rest, and enjoy the simple moments that often get overlooked during the rest of the year.
Instead of letting summer fly by, what if you used it as an opportunity to reconnect with yourself?
Not through a strict plan.
Not through another challenge.
Not through trying to "fix" yourself.
But by intentionally creating a season that feels good to live in.
Before you dive into summer, ask yourself:
What's important to me this season?
How do I want to feel?
What do I want more of?
What do I want less of?
What kind of memories do I want to create?
The answers to those questions can become the foundation of your summer wellness routine.
Here are four areas to focus on as you create a summer that supports your health, happiness, and overall well-being.
1. Nourish Yourself
Summer wellness starts with nourishment.
Not restriction. Not perfection. Not trying to follow someone else's plan.
Nourishment is about giving your body what it needs so you can feel energized, balanced, and well.
Think about how you want to feel this summer.
Do you want more energy?
More stable moods?
Better digestion?
Fewer cravings?
More confidence around food?
Better recovery from workouts?
When you focus on nourishment rather than rules, healthy choices become much easier to make.
You don't have to overhaul your entire diet overnight.
Start with one small change.
Drink more water.
Add protein to breakfast.
Enjoy more seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Build from there.
Reflection Question

2. Move in Ways That Feel Good
Summer can be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with movement.
Not because you "have to" exercise.
Because your body was designed to move.
One of the biggest mistakes people make is assuming they need harder workouts, longer workouts, or more intense workouts to see results.
Sometimes what your body actually needs is movement that feels supportive.
Movement that energizes you.
Movement that helps you feel strong, capable, and connected to yourself.
The best workout is often the one you'll actually do consistently.
→ This summer, think beyond calories burned. Think about how you want to feel.

3. Reconnect With Yourself
Summer often creates a little more breathing room.
And sometimes what we need most isn't another workout or meal plan.
It's space to think.
Space to reflect.
Space to reconnect with ourselves.
Many people spend so much time focused on what they should be doing that they forget to ask what they actually want.
Who are you becoming?
What matters most to you right now?
What kind of life are you creating?
When you become clear about your values, goals, and vision, your choices become easier.
Your brain works best when it has direction.
The clearer you are about where you're going, the easier it becomes to recognize the steps that support that vision.
Summer can be the perfect time to slow down enough to listen.

4. Create More Joy
This may be the most important section of all.
We often treat joy like a reward.
We'll relax after the project is finished.
We'll take the trip after we lose the weight.
We'll enjoy ourselves after life settles down.
But joy isn't something you earn.
Joy is part of wellness.
Summer naturally invites more play, connection, adventure, and presence.
The challenge is making space for it.
Not everything has to be productive.
Not everything has to improve you.
Some experiences are valuable simply because they make you feel alive.
Reflection Question
What brings me joy, and how can I create more of it this summer?

✔ Listen to music while cooking
✔ Spend time with people who energize you
✔ Schedule a staycation
✔ Treat yourself to a self-care day
✔ Try something new just for fun
The small moments often become the ones we remember most.
Create a Summer You Love
You don't need a complete life overhaul this summer.
Start with one thing.
One nourishing meal.
One walk at sunset.
One journal entry.
One beach day.
One evening spent disconnected from your phone and connected to your life.
Small moments have a way of becoming meaningful seasons.
As you move through the summer, continue asking yourself:
What's important to me right now?
Let the answer guide your choices.
Create a summer that feels good from the inside out.
The rest will follow.
I hope you create the best summer! - Margot
