Why Carrot Fries Are a Smart Swap

Carrot fries aren’t just delicious — they bring a ton of nutritional perks:

  • Lower in calories & carbs than potatoes, making them a lighter side dish option.

  • Rich in beta-carotene & vitamin A to support healthy vision, immunity, and glowing skin.

  • High in fiber, helping you feel full and satisfied.

  • Packed with antioxidants that promote overall wellness and help fight inflammation.

So instead of fries that leave you feeling sluggish, these will energize you and add extra color to your plate.

Rosemary Carrot Fries Recipe

Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium-large carrots

  • 1–2 Tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil for a lighter flavor)

  • ½ tsp dried rosemary (or more, to taste)

  • Sea salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • Optional: extra herbs/spices — thyme, smoked paprika, or garlic powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F.

  2. Slice carrots into fry shapes (about 3 inches long, ½ inch thick).

  3. Place carrots on a baking sheet. Drizzle with oil and toss to coat.

  4. Sprinkle rosemary, salt, and pepper evenly over the carrots. Toss again.

  5. Bake for 10–15 minutes, until golden and tender. For extra crispiness, broil for the last 1–2 minutes.

  6. Taste, adjust seasoning if needed, and enjoy!

Tips for the Best Carrot Fries

  • Crispier finish: Broil for the last minute or two (but watch closely!).

  • Softer texture: Reduce oven temp slightly or shorten bake time.

  • Colorful twist: Try rainbow carrots (purple, yellow, or red) for extra eye appeal.

Flavor Variations

Rosemary is classic, but don’t stop there! Mix it up with:

  • Garlic & herb blend for a savory bite.

  • Smoked paprika & garlic powder for a smoky kick.

  • Thyme or oregano for an earthy, Mediterranean vibe.

👉 These rosemary carrot fries prove that healthy eating doesn’t mean boring — it just means smarter swaps and a little creativity. Perfect for weeknight dinners, meal prep, or a fun weekend side!
