Weekly Wellness Reset: Slow Summer Wellness & Simple Meals
/Week of June 8, 2026 | Summer Has Just Begun
Summer has a different rhythm to it.
The days feel a little longer. Meals feel a little lighter. There’s more time outside, more sunshine, more opportunities to slow down and reconnect with yourself in simple ways.
And honestly? That’s the energy I want to lean into this week.
Not harder.
Not more restrictive.
Not trying to “perfect” wellness.
Just supportive habits that help you feel good physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Because some of the most restorative wellness habits are also the simplest:
Sunlight
Movement
Hydration
Nourishing food
Rest
Laughter
Time outside
Meaningful connection
Quiet moments alone
This week’s reset is all about slowing down enough to actually notice what helps you feel like yourself again.
Below, you’ll find weekly meal inspiration, movement & the mindset theme of the week.
Breakfast: Tropical Island Protein Smoothie
Refreshing, energizing, and incredibly easy.
This smoothie is the kind of breakfast that feels perfect for summer — cold, tropical, light, but still supportive. It’s a simple way to get in protein first thing in the morning without having to cook or overthink it.
Think tropical fruit, protein, hydration, and something you can throw together in just a few minutes.
Why I love it for summer:
Quick and low effort
Great for busy mornings or hot days
Easy way to increase protein intake
Hydrating and energizing
Feels more like something you want to have versus something you “have” to eat
You can also customize it depending on your needs:
Add chia or flax for extra fiber
Add Greek yogurt for additional protein
Toss in spinach for extra nutrients
Blend with coconut water for extra hydration
Simple meals are often the meals we stay most consistent with — and consistency is what really supports wellness long term.

Lunch: Mediterranean Grilled Veggie Sandwich
This is one of those meals that tastes like summer.
Fresh vegetables, grilled flavor, healthy fats, and satisfying texture all layered into something that feels simple but still nourishing and balanced.
It’s a great reminder that healthy meals do not need to be boring or overly restrictive to support your goals.
Why I love this for summer:
Packed with colorful vegetables
Feels fresh and satisfying without being heavy
Easy to pair with fruit, a salad, or protein
Great for lunches outside, pool days, or slower afternoons
Simple way to embrace more Mediterranean-style eating
Want to make it more filling or higher protein?
Add grilled chicken
Add turkey
Pair it with Greek yogurt or cottage cheese
Serve alongside a protein smoothie or pasta salad
This is the kind of meal that supports that “feel good” summer energy — fresh, balanced, flavorful, and easy to enjoy.

Dinner: Grilled Chicken Skewers with Sweet Chili Glaze
Summer food should feel fun.
And grilled meals just feel like summer.
These skewers are great because they’re simple, flavorful, high in protein, and easy to pair with basically anything:
Grilled vegetables
Rice or quinoa
A chopped salad
Fruit
Corn on the cob
Tzatziki or cucumber salad
You can also prep extra for lunches the next day, which makes healthy eating feel a whole lot easier during busy weeks.

Movement Focus: Take It Outside
This week, skip the pressure to make movement intense.
Instead, focus on movement that helps you feel connected, refreshed, and energized. If possible, get outside and enjoy summer movement in a whole new way!
Ideas:
Morning walks before it gets too hot
Beach walks
Pool workouts
Bike rides
Paddleboarding
Outdoor yoga
A neighborhood walk after dinner
Stretching outside at sunset
Playing outside with family or friends
Movement doesn’t always have to feel like a workout to support your wellness.
Sometimes movement is simply a way to reconnect with yourself.
This Week’s Wellness Focus: Slow Down & Tune In
One thing I keep coming back to lately is this:
Wellness doesn’t have to feel hard to be effective. It can be done in the pockets of your day. A moment of quiet might be all you need. Wellness habits don’t have to be profound. They just have to work for YOU.
Again - sometimes the most supportive things are also the most basic.
Drinking enough water.
Getting outside.
Eating meals that make you feel good.
Laughing more.
Resting without guilt.
Creating a little space to breathe.
This week, instead of asking:
“What do I need to do more of?”
Maybe ask:
“What helps me feel restored?”
That answer might be simpler than you think.
A Few Small Ways to Reset This Week
Eat at least one meal outside
Take a walk without your phone
Prioritize hydration before caffeine
Add more color to your meals
Watch a sunset
Spend time with people who energize you
Create one quiet moment for yourself each day
Go to bed a little earlier
Let wellness feel supportive instead of stressful

Coach’s Note
Pay attention to how summer wellness makes you feel:
Your meals: Energy, fullness, mood, digestion, cravings, and satisfaction all matter. Wellness is about learning your body, not just following rules.
Movement: Supporting strength, cardiovascular health and mobility mean balancing out what feels good for your body and focusing on the area you need most.
Mindset: Echoing the reflection question of the week - How can you embrace the simple moments to restore yourself this week? To build on that, what do you need to restore yourself for the summer? How do you want to feel and function at the end of the summer? Take the action steps that lead you to that place.
